Survivors Voice International (SVI) is a non profit organization established in January 2009 by Vera Monde-Anumihe, who is herself a cancer survivor. Our primary goals are to provide support for other cancer survivors and those continuing to fight, and to reduce the stigma associated with cancer all over the world. We at SVI believe that no one should have to go through the experience of cancer alone, so we provide encouragement and resources to those living with cancer, and to their families.
We also want to send a clear message that through increased awareness, access to treatment and lots of support, people can (and do) survive this disease. Our organization is comprised of cancer survivors, family, friends, healthcare and legal professionals, as well as other individuals indirectly affected by cancer eager to see the disease eradicated and the world changed forever.
Mission
Our mission is to educate, advocate, support and empower individuals diagnosed with cancer to not only survive the illness but to also experience the kind of quality of life that everyone deserves.
Vision
In a perfect world cancer would not exist, but with this harsh reality, we envision a world in which ALL individuals affected by cancer with limited financial resources will have equal access to innovative treatment options and quality health care.
As you visit our site we hope that you will be moved to join us in the fight against cancer by giving financial support or by volunteering your time with us to help implement our programs and events. For more on how to help, email donate@survivorsvi.org.
