We are working to implement both domestic and international programs, in partnerships with hospitals, universities and corporations committed to the fight against cancer.
Breaking the Silence: Our founder and president Vera Monde-Anumihe, as well as several of our members, travel and speak at health conferences around the world, with aims to highlight her experience as a breast cancer survivor and bring insight and spread knowledge as medical professionals.
Active for The Cure: We also participate in walks and runs “for the cure” in liaison with the national cancer foundations and events that take place both in Washington D.C., and around the country where our members are located. These include the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, the Avon Foundation’s Walk to End Breast Cancer, the African Women’s Cancer Association Walk, and many others.
A Global Mission: We continue to travel to Africa to spread awareness and resources, with the goal of implementing lasting programs to increase attention for the cause, and erase the stigmas and taboos placed upon illness that keeps our people from getting help.
The Next Generation: Our young members continue to rally – on campuses, on social media, and wherever they can to spread awareness to the younger generation. With the leadership of the Monde daughters we’ll continue to make fighting cancer a cause for all generations.
Celebrating Survivors Everyday: We will continue to celebrate those who have won the fight and those who continue to fight, for being examples of hope and strength to everyone around them. We remember those we’ve lost to cancer – for them we carry this torch!
